How to Donate
We are extremely grateful to everyone that chooses to support Wirral Ark and below are the ways in which you can support us.
We are grateful to receive in date food items, including packets, tins and jars.
Sadly, due to limited storage space, we are unable to accept clothing, shoes or bedding at present. The Charles Thompson Mission, based in Birkenhead offer valuable drop-in services for the homeless and are always grateful to receive such donations. The contact number for them is 0151 647 7303.
We do not accept furniture and household goods, due to health & safety legislation, however organisations such as The Besom or WIRE (Tel: 0151 638 6691) are organisations that take furniture for the benefit of those in need.
Please note: These organisations are provided on a recommendation basis only and we cannot advise on their current need or demand and we would suggest contacting them direct.
One way you can support Wirral Churches’ Ark Project, for the homeless, is by leaving a legacy in your Will. By leaving a legacy, you can help us to be there for people who are homeless, when you are no longer here.
To include a legacy to Wirral Churches’ Ark Project, simply tell your solicitor or Will writer what you want to do. If you would like any further information, please contact us.

If you would like to make a regular donation, you can do so very simply using a Standing Order. A Standing Order places you in control of the amount you donate. It is an instruction from you, to your bank, to pay a set amount to a named beneficiary at regular intervals, either for a specific period of time or until you cancel it.
Please contact us to discuss setting up a regular standing order. You can also set up ‘regular’ donations via Paypal or JustGiving.
Donate by post. If you would like to send a cheque, please make it out to ‘Wirral Churches’ Ark Project’ and send it to – Wirral Churches’ Ark Project, Mary Cole House, 6 Sandford Street, Birkenhead, Wirral, CH41 1BN.
We accept cash donations which can be handed in to our staff at reception.
Wirral Ark has a Paypal account which is set up to receive donations. Our email address is firstname.lastname@example.org or click on the following Donate button which will automatically take you through to Paypal where you can donate.
The Government operates a scheme called Gift Aid that allows charities to claim the basic tax rate on every pound donated. So, for example if you donated £100 to Wirral Ark, it means that you’ll actually be giving us at least £125.
Giving under Gift Aid means that so much more money can be raised at no extra cost to our donors.
For individuals, the Gift Aid rules require the completion of a Gift Aid Declaration Form. This provides us with the minimum information required for us to be able to claim Gift Aid on a donation.

Wirral Churches’ Ark Project is a registered charity and operates on a ‘not for profit’ basis. Although we do receive a level of central funding, we do rely on donations to fund the vital development and improvement of our facilities.
