At our dedicated training facility, the Irene Kennedy Centre, we offer a wide range of fun, educational activities, delivered by our Activities Coordinator in partnership with Crisis Skylight. All of the sessions are designed to be informative, fun and inspiring, and to build up confidence and skills.
Whether someone is homeless, living in our hostel or other temporary accommodation, all are welcome to come along and take part.
Courses offered include:
- Creative writing
- Wellbeing workshops
- Computers for Employment
- Basic IT skills
- Digital Photography
- Upcycling/furniture renovation
- English & Maths
Within most courses, clients can pursue an accreditation or qualification from a relevant awarding body through their Crisis Tutor. Clients will have to attend a minimum amount of classes for a 12 week term to achieve accreditations. They are also given certificates and awards at the end of term celebration.
