New befriending project launches

Wirral Ark is launching a new Befriending Project which will make powerful and meaningful change to the lives of people experiencing homelessness. The project will use the skills, experiences and talents of volunteers from the community who will befriend and support people experiencing homelessness in their journey to recovery and independence.

The project has been made possible with funding from the Steve Morgan Foundation and the PH Holt Foundation.

The project will start in March 2020 and will be coordinated by Paul Berry who will bring his vast experience to the role “this much needed project will deliver low level interventions with high impact outcomes. Befriending can provide the social and emotional support people need to make lasting change in their lives. I’m delighted to be coordinating this project and can’t wait to get started”
